Titahi Bay Boating Club is available for hire as a venue for educational programmes and sporting events, with a focus on water-based activities. Note that we do not hire out the clubrooms for parties or similar activities - more on that below.
The clubrooms are available for booking for educational and recreational sports/water-sports activities. The clubrooms consist of:
The outdoor area around the club includes the reclamation, deck, pontoon and a launching ramp suitable for small boats. These have all been developed over the years by volunteers and TBBC. Due to the limited area available and regularly scheduled activities, organisations wishing to hold an event are encouraged to make a booking to prevent any conflicts. The club appreciates any koha - this is to cover the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the aforementioned spaces, and allows the club to provide these facilities to the public in the first instance.
Currently, we do not make the clubroom premises available to hospitality bookings such as birthdays, parties, or similar events. This is primarily due to physical limitations of our facilities, insurance arrangements, and common shared-storage areas within the clubrooms. We look forward to being able to provide these facilities in the future.
The clubrooms and exterior area are all wheelchair-accessible from the roadway level. The jetty and pontoon are also wheelchair-accessible, so that less-able individuals can access boats at the water's edge.
These accessibility features are made possible through the cooperation and investment of our affiliates, Sailability Wellington trust.
